During the Zero Hour discussion in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, BJP MP from Ghaziabad Atul Garg raised the issue of rising dog bite cases, pointing out that in 2023 nearly 30.5 lakh Indians had been bitten by dogs and 286 of them died. 3. Seek Medical Help

A Tetanus injection is essential after a dog bite. A healthcare professional will determine whether a rabies vaccine is necessary based on the severity of the wound and the dog’s vaccination status. In most cases, a full course of anti-rabies vaccine doses is administered.

4. Report the Incident
