Sydney police are grappling with the identification of two bodies discovered in the inner-west suburb of Burwood. The remains of a man and a woman were found in a courtyard and a unit, respectively, sending shockwaves through the community.

“It’s normally very peaceful here. We didn’t hear any unusual noises or commotion,” said a neighbor named Stephen.

“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of Conder Street this morning,” Superintendent McDonald appealed.
