Floyd Shivambu in KZN EFF’s crosshairs, with plans to replace him as party deputy

The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) EFF wants to replace its deputy chairperson, Floyd Shivambu, ahead of the party’s national elective conference in December.

This was revealed in a leaked recording of a meeting held by the KZN EFF provincial leadership on Sunday.

In the recording, EFF KZN chairperson Vusi Khoza is heard saying that the province wants to replace Shivambu with its own candidate.

“We have resolved that we want to replace Floyd Shivambu. We have identified a candidate to replace him,” Khoza says.

The KZN EFF’s move comes amid growing calls for Shivambu to be removed from his position.

In recent months, Shivambu has been embroiled in a series of controversies, including allegations of corruption and mismanagement of party funds.

The EFF has denied these allegations, but the controversy has damaged Shivambu’s reputation and led to calls for his removal.

The KZN EFF’s decision to move against Shivambu is a significant development, as it could have a major impact on the party’s national leadership.

Shivambu is a close ally of EFF leader Julius Malema, and his removal could weaken Malema’s grip on the party.

It is unclear how Malema will respond to the KZN EFF’s move. He has previously defended Shivambu against his critics, but he may be forced to reconsider his position in light of the growing pressure on Shivambu.

The EFF’s national elective conference is set to take place in December. The conference will elect the party’s new leadership, including its deputy chairperson.

It remains to be seen whether the KZN EFF will be successful in its bid to replace Shivambu. However, the move by the province is a sign of growing discontent with Shivambu’s leadership.

All eyes on Wayde: Does van Niekerk have the speed for one more medal?

Wayde van Niekerk is one of the most decorated athletes in South Africa. He is the current world record holder in the 400 meters, and he won the gold medal in the 400 meters at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Van Niekerk is now preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He is hoping to defend his 400 meters title and add to his medal collection.

However, van Niekerk has been plagued by injuries in recent years. He suffered a serious knee injury in 2017, and he has not been able to regain his previous form since then.

Van Niekerk’s injuries have raised questions about whether he will be able to compete at the 2020 Olympic Games. Some experts believe that he has lost too much speed to compete at the highest level.

However, van Niekerk is determined to prove his critics wrong. He has been working hard to regain his fitness and speed, and he is confident that he can be a contender for a medal in Tokyo.

Whether or not van Niekerk can win another Olympic medal is unclear. However, he is one of the most talented athletes in the world, and he will be a threat to win in Tokyo.
