Linz AG Lowers Natural Gas Prices

Customers can expect a reduced rate starting in October

Residents of Linz, Austria, who rely on Linz AG for their natural gas supply can expect a more affordable rate starting this fall. The company announced that they will be reducing the price of natural gas for one year, beginning October 1, 2024.

On average, Linz AG natural gas customers can expect to save around 16.80 euros per month. This calculation is based on the “Erdgas Classic” tariff and an annual consumption of 15,000 kilowatt-hours. The energy unit price will be reduced from 7.56 cents to 6.30 cents per kilowatt-hour.

This reduced rate will be valid for one year, from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. The discount will be automatically credited to customers’ natural gas bills.

According to Linz AG, this price reduction is a response to the current positive market developments.
