Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2024 Visit to Colombia

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have arrived in Colombia for a four-day visit. The royal couple was greeted by Vice President Francia Márquez upon their arrival in the capital city of Bogotá.

During their visit, the Sussexes will meet with local leaders, visit schools, and attend cultural events. They will also participate in a summit on internet safety, a topic close to their hearts.

The couple’s first engagement was a visit to the Colegio Cultura Popular, a local children’s school. They were given a tour of the school and met with students and teachers.

In the afternoon, the Sussexes attended a theater performance and a musical and dance performance at the Plaza del Carnaval y la Cultura in San Juan de Pasto.

On their second day in Colombia, the Sussexes will meet with President Gustavo Petro and First Lady Verónica Alcocer García. They will also visit the Museo Nacional de Colombia, the National Museum of Colombia.

The royal couple’s visit to Colombia is their first official trip to South America. They are scheduled to return to the United Kingdom on August 19.
