Barkov continues to bring joy to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

Barkov’s Generous Support for Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital

Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov has once again demonstrated his commitment to the community by pledging $97,600 to Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital. This donation marks the fifth season of his partnership with the world-renowned hospital.

Barkov’s pledge includes $1,600 for every goal he scores and $800 for every assist he dishes out throughout the regular season and playoffs. Through three games this season, he has already recorded three assists, resulting in an additional $2,400 in donations.

Barkov’s generosity stems from his gratitude for the opportunities he has been given in Florida and his desire to give back to the community. “I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to play here for such a long time, and I wanted to give something back,” said Barkov.

Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital is a perfect fit for Barkov’s philanthropic endeavors. He is particularly impressed by their commitment to providing exceptional care to children. “I love what they are doing here. I love helping them. I love bringing kids to the games, visiting here, seeing kids here,” he said.

Barkov’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. He has previously been nominated for the NHL’s King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which recognizes players who exemplify leadership qualities on and off the ice and make significant humanitarian contributions to their communities.

Barkov’s lifetime donation to Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital recently surpassed $300,000. His unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of children is a testament to his character and generosity.

The Panthers organization and the South Florida community are incredibly grateful for Barkov’s ongoing support. His donations and his dedication to the hospital make a tangible difference in the lives of countless children.
