Milan Striker Morata Splits from Wife After Eight Years

In a sudden and unexpected announcement, new Milan striker Alvaro Morata has confirmed his separation from his wife, Alice Campello, after eight years of marriage.

The news came as a shock to fans and the media, as the couple had always appeared close and had welcomed four children together. Just days before the announcement, Morata had been unveiled as a Milan player at a press conference.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Morata expressed his sadness and respect for his former partner.

“After a period of reflection, Alice and I decided to part ways,” he wrote. “It was a wonderful and respectful relationship, where we helped each other so much.”

The couple met in Venice while Morata was playing for Juventus and married in 2017. They share four children: Alessandro, Edoardo Leonardo, and Bella.

Morata’s separation comes at a time of transition for the striker, who recently joined Milan from Atletico Madrid in a €13 million deal. He has signed a contract until 2028, with an option for a further year.
