José Díaz-Balart: Good morning. Former President Trump is doing a press event today in Florida. Meanwhile, questions are growing over whether Vice President Harris will do a press conference soon. NBC News’ Dasha Burns and NOTUS reporter Jasmine Wright are here to provide more insight.

Dasha, let’s start with you. What are you expecting from President Trump’s press event today?

Dasha Burns: Well, José, President Trump is expected to talk about a number of issues, including the economy, the upcoming midterm elections, and his potential plans for 2024. He’s also likely to attack President Biden and the Democrats.

José Díaz-Balart: And Jasmine, what about Vice President Harris? When can we expect to hear from her?

Jasmine Wright: Well, José, there’s been a lot of speculation about when Vice President Harris will hold a press conference. She has not held one since she took office in January. Some people believe that she’s avoiding the media, while others say that she’s simply being cautious.

José Díaz-Balart: What do you think, Dasha?

Dasha Burns: I think it’s important to remember that Vice President Harris is a relatively new vice president. She’s only been in office for a few months. And it’s not uncommon for new vice presidents to take some time to find their footing.

José Díaz-Balart: But Jasmine, some people are saying that Vice President Harris is not up to the job. They say she’s not experienced enough and that she’s not ready to be president.

Jasmine Wright: I think it’s too early to make that judgment. Vice President Harris has only been in office for a few months. And she’s already made a number of important accomplishments. For example, she’s been leading the administration’s efforts on voting rights and immigration.

José Díaz-Balart: Well, we’ll be watching closely to see when Vice President Harris holds her first press conference. And we’ll continue to follow the latest developments from both President Trump and Vice President Harris.

Thank you, Dasha. Thank you, Jasmine.
